About the Event
What is Parent Prom?
Parent Prom is one of Friends of the Royals' most beloved annual traditions. It's a formal evening — think gowns, tuxedos, dancing, a live band, and an incredible sense of community — designed specifically for parents, grandparents, family members, alumni, and friends of Riverview High School.
The concept is simple and beautiful: the adults get their own "prom night," complete with all the elegance and fun of the real thing — and every ticket purchased helps fund free prom dresses and formalwear for students who cannot afford one.
It's a night where the Riverview community comes alive. Where alumni from every graduating class reconnect over shared memories. Where parents and friends celebrate the school that means so much to so many — all while making sure the next generation gets the prom night they deserve.

The Cause
PromPretty
Free formalwear, for every student.
PromPretty is a volunteer-run program dedicated to helping graduating students attend their special events with confidence and dignity. We provide free prom dresses, accessories, and formalwear to students facing financial barriers, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to celebrate this important milestone.
Over the years, PromPretty has helped hundreds of students across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island find the perfect outfit for prom. Through community donations and the support of generous volunteers, we work to remove financial obstacles and create a positive, empowering experience for students and their families.
